Fireside Snacks: The Matcha Chocolate S'more
Last year, we partnered with Philadelphia candy legend Shane Confectionery to make a puffed rice and matcha chocolate bar using our very own Morihata matcha. It, somewhat unsurprisingly, turned out to be completely delicious.
But still, we couldn’t help but wonder how such a decadent texture and rich, toasty flavor might be taken to the next level. Was it even remotely possible? To know once and for all, we sandwiched it boldly between two fire-warmed graham crackers and a big, gooey marshmallow — thus creating the Morihata Matcha Chocolate S’more.
Yeah, you’re gonna want to get a bite of this. Here’s how:
The Morihata Matcha Chocolate S’more
Things you’ll need:
1 rikumo x Shane Confectionery Matcha Chocolate Bar, 2.1 oz
1 marshmallow (we use the large, square ones)
1 large graham cracker, broken in half
Metal or wooden skewer
A roaring fire
Instructions:
Set both halves of your graham cracker by the fireside to let them warm up
Break off a square (or two) of matcha chocolate and position it on the bottom half of your cracker
With your marshmallow skewered, place it by the fire and let it toast to your liking. We recommend a dark brown, almost burnt skin as it pairs well with the puffed brown rice
Rest your marshmallow on the chocolate-prepped graham cracker and place the other half overtop. Press down lightly, pulling the skewer away and leaving behind a perfect, completed s’more
Enjoy!
