A New Chapter Begins

After a grueling year in which even a simple breath of fresh air seemed hard to come by, the team at rikumo invites you to relax at our new concept store in Ardmore, PA.

Fans and newcomers alike will be welcomed to our soothing space in the spirit of omotenashi, the Japanese concept of hospitality that informs every interaction at rikumo.

Roughly translated, the term omote refers to one’s public face, while nashi means “nothing;” taken together, they indicate the lack of a facade and an open and honest style of communication. Those who practice omotenashi anticipate the needs of their guests and are prepared to meet them with respect and transparency.

One way we seek to fulfill that duty is by streamlining the ordering process for all our fans in the area. With our new in-store pickup option, you can order online then receive your Japan-made goods in person.

For the first several weeks that we’re open, customers who want one will also receive a free rikumo tote bag made from recycled materials and printed with vegetable-based inks. Bring your new tote with you for future purchases (or simply decline a bag at checkout) and you’ll get 10 bonus Rings - the latest expression of our eco-friendly philosophy.

Come and explore our carefully curated selection of home goods, stationery, accessories, and more, and know that we stand ready to assist you at every step. Welcome back to rikumo!
