While aromatic salts can soothe and perfume your bath, the natural minerals found in bath salts can have amazing effects on your body and mind. A relaxing bath promotes deep muscle relaxation, which helps reduce cramps, tension headaches, and body soreness. When done correctly, the process can be as beneficial as getting a massage- and much cheaper, too. Here’s how to pick the perfect bath salts to get the most out of your bathtime.

Himalayan Bath Salts (Hinoki)

Himalayan Bath Salts are found in the deep rivers and valleys of the Himalayan Mountains where the water is clear and pristine. A naturally pale pink color, Himalayan salts were once known as “King’s Salt“, since they were considered so valuable that they were served only to royalty.   • Bath salts react better with hot water, so make sure to pick a temperature that is a little warmer than you’re used to.
